Kigali:DIGP Ujeneza urges Police officers on ethics and professional values in fighting corruption

A five-day middle-level leadership and management seminar on strategies to combat corruption opened on Monday, October 7, at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters in Kacyiru. It is conducted in partnership with the Commonwealth Secretariat.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in Charge of Administration and Personnel, DCG Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, while opening the seminar for 34 Police officers, said that combating corruption requires a multi-faceted approach—collaboration across sectors and borders, innovative thinking, and a steadfast commitment to transparency and accountability.

“Ethics and professional values are the cornerstone of any successful anti-corruption efforts. Building a culture of integrity and accountability within the police force is vital. Leaders must lead by example and ensure their subordinates comply with ethical standards. Together, we can create a corruption-free environment, ensuring sustainable development and prosperity for Rwanda,” DIGP Ujeneza said.
